The Wisconsin Reading Center
Clinical trial imaging, grading, and quality assurance from a trusted academic partner.
The Wisconsin Reading Center (WRC), formerly the Fundus Photograph Reading Center, is a core image reading lab in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Since 1970, the WRC has provided high-quality, validated retinal image analysis for over 300 clinical trials. We support studies ranging from diabetic retinopathy to age-related macular degeneration (AMD), inherited retinal diseases, and more. Our work informs NIH-funded research, industry-sponsored trials, and innovations in imaging protocols.
