Ellie Corkery
WRC Associate Director
Ellie Corkery is Associate Director of the Wisconsin Reading Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, bringing 26 years of expertise in retinal image evaluation and resource management. She is passionate about facilitating sponsor relations from RFP to data analysis, supporting strategic initiatives for WRC, and fostering collaborations through effective training as an ambassador for UW and WRC. Since joining the Wisconsin Reading Center in 1999, she has held multiple certifications in evaluating diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, macular edema, and retinal abnormalities across various imaging modalities, and she develops training programs for imaging and grading departments while overseeing academic and classified staff. Corkery has contributed to numerous publications in leading ophthalmology journals, including research from the landmark AREDS, MARINA, ANCHOR, and SCORE trials, and is a member of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO).
