Tom Saunders

Dr. Tom Saunders is an optometrist with extensive experience in clinical care, research, and ocular imaging. He currently serves as a Scientist at the Wisconsin Reading Center, where he contributes to clinical trials and research on age-related macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease. Previously, Dr. Saunders practiced for over a decade in a multidisciplinary hospital-based setting in the greater Seattle area, providing comprehensive eye care. He earned his Doctor of Optometry with distinction from Pacific University College of Optometry and completed a residency in ocular disease and geriatrics at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. Dr. Saunders is a published researcher, a former Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, and has held leadership roles in professional optometric associations.
